Introduction
Bowling in St. Margaret’s School (Primary) started in 2003. We have students from P3 - P6 taking part in this sport.
Objectives
- To introduce basic bowling techniques and skills drills. Training aims to improve grips, stance, basic 4-steps approach, release, follow-through and targeting.
- To build a competitive school bowling team capable of challenging for top honours in the National School Games (NSG) Bowling Championship.
- To build leadership and sportsmanship among the bowlers.
- To nurture girls of character anchored on the values of Life-long learning, Integrity, Graciousness, Humility and Tenacity (LIGHT)
Activities Outline
Students train once or twice a week. They are taught the basic skills and rules of the game. They will be able to play the game independently and some of the members will be selected to train with the school team in preparation for the National School Games (NSG) Bowling Championship.
