Goals
Students: Become confident, digitally literate communicators who think critically, inquire creatively, and express themselves empathetically across various platforms and contexts.
Teachers: Develop expertise in dynamic teaching and learning whilst serving as exemplary English language role models who inspire and guide students through innovative, authentic learning experiences.
Parents: Partner with the school to support their children’s English language development, understanding how technology enhances learning and reinforcing quality language use at home.

Loan Policy
Borrowing Privileges:
- All students are entitled to borrow four library books for two weeks.
- Each book can only be renewed once. Students will need to renew the item in person at the library.
Penalty for Overdue items :
- Students’ borrowing privileges will be suspended once overdue items are incurred in their library account. Their library accounts will be restored once the books are returned to the library.
Penalty for lost/damaged items:
- For every item lost/damaged, the student will have to compensate with a new book of similar cost.
- A list of suitable titles will be given to the pupil by the librarian.
- The student will then hand the new book, with receipt of purchase, to the librarian.
- The student’s account will be restored after the lost/damaged book has been compensated with a new one.
Online Library System (OPAC):

Students will be able to view their borrowers’ status by accessing the online library system (OPAC) at: https://schoolibrary.moe.edu.sg/stmargaretspri

Default OPAC password for all patrons (Students). Please be advised the current password using NRIC will be changed to Moe@DDMMYYYY (DDMMYYYY is the DOB of the student) as a default password for all users. Upon login, all patrons are required to change the password under “My Account” page. The new password will have be made up of at least 12 characters and should contain characters from at least two of the following four categories:
- Upper case (A through Z);
- Lower case (a through z);
- Digits (0-9);
- Special Characters (!, $, #, %, etc)

EL Week - Book Character Day
EL Week is an annual school event in St Margaret’s School (Primary) planned by the English Language Department for our students and teachers. Activities during the week aim to promote a love for the English language and celebrate creativity in its use through enriched experiences beyond the textbooks.

Read for Books
Read for Books is a yearly charity book drive organised by NLB and we are proud to support this meaningful movement as a whole school.
Let us continue to nurture the love for reading among our girls! Remember, reading is not just a pastime; it’s a lifelong habit that enriches our lives in countless ways.
