Introduction

Bowling in St. Margaret’s School (Primary) started in 2003, we have pupils from P3 - P6 taking part in this sport.

Objectives

1. To introduce basic bowling techniques and skills drills so to improve the bowling, grips, stance, basic 4-steps approach, release, follow-through and targeting. Following that, is to build a competitive school bowling team capable of challenging for top honours in the Inter-School Bowling Championship.
2. To build leadership and sportsmanship among the bowlers.
3. To nurture girls of the character anchored on the values of L ife-long learner, I ntegrity, G raciousness, H umility and   T enacity (LIGHT)

Activities Outline

The students train once or twice a week. They are taught the basic skills and rules of the game. They will be able to play the game independently and some of the members will be selected to train in the school team in preparation for the National Inter-Primary Schools Bowling Championships.

Target

To emerge as the Top 4 in the National Primary Schools Championships for both Junior and Senior Division.
