Fundraising Charity Golf - 29 April 2020 (11.30 to 8 pm ) Tanah Merah Country Club...postponed to 8 September 2020 due to Covid-19 situation.

St Margaret’s School founded in 1842 is the oldest girls’ school in Singapore.  For 178 years she has been providing education in Singapore; committed to nurture young girls, such that each may develop in body, soul and spirit, and be trained in righteousness to become a woman of God, equipped for every good work; and fulfilling its vision to achieve “A Community of Learners Growing and Glowing for God”.

The school has functioned at the current Sophia site for 158 years as of 2019;  with the last massive works done 20 years ago in 1999 under MOE’s PRIME (Programmed for Improving Existing School).

We are delighted that our school will soon embark on another MOE-initiated project – PERI.  Project PERI (or Primary Education Review and Implementation) aims at upgrading primary school’s infrastructure and physical facilities to cater to a wider range of programmes.  Its purpose is to improve learning and develop soft skills to better support the delivery of holistic education for the students.    The project is expected to complete in 2 years.

The whole upgrading project is estimated to cost $23 million and being a government-aided school, St Margaret’s Primary School  (SMPS) will have to raise at least $1.26 million to cover its share.

This charity golf event is part of our fund-raising efforts to raise about $150,000 towards this upgrading project.

The Tampines Course at Tanah Merah Country Club is one of the best golf courses in Singapore, promising both challenges and fun for anyone with some interest in the game. The game will be preceded by lunch and end with a sumptuous sit-down dinner. Prizes for both ladies and men players will be awarded on Stableford system. There will also be several novelty prizes.

SMPS seeks your support to join us by sponsoring flights in this event.
