Introduction

The SMPS Tennis Programme serves as an avenue to promote greater interest in tennis among students of St. Margaret's.

Through a series of training programmes prepared by our coaches, we hope to help students pick up a new skill.

Objectives:

  • To promote tennis as a sport
  • To build character, team spirit and responsibility
  • To develop tenacity through competitions
  • To nurture girls of the character, anchored on the values of Life-long learner, Integrity, Graciousness, Humility and Tenacity (LIGHT)

Vision:

A skillful tennis player with life-long pursuit of excellence in the sport.

To nurture girls with the right attitudes, skills and passion for the sport.

Targets:


To prepare the junior and senior teams for  the National Games Tennis Championships.












Activities Outline


  1. Begin with warm-up activities which include running and stretching exercises.
  2. Teams continue with drills and practices, skills honing and physical training.
  3. Coaches and teachers give debrief on the day's training.
